Nestled within an authentic African village environment, the property provides guests with deluxe African accommodation in one of five traditionally-themed homesteads – Zulu, Xhosa, Ndebele, Sotho and  Pedi.
 
On arrival, you will be received by the head of your selected homestead and escorted to your private, fully-equipped hut. A representative of the tribe will be your personal escort for the duration of your stay to guide you through the fascinating cultural experience and attend to your every need.

When you visit, you won’t get to see all the cultures, but you’ll have close and personal contact with five of them – the Zulus, the Xhosa, the Pedi, the colourful Ndebele people and the mountain people, the Basotho. Expect a warm welcome, a unique experience, an amazing overnight stay (although you can also take a day trip) and to be touched intellectually and emotionally. You’ll meet real people (not actors in fancy dress), go into real homes where people live, and listen to these people tell you about their individual cultures and daily lives.

Village Tour
 
Guests can choose between The Monati (lunch) or Boma (dinner) cultural tours. These two-hour programmes are offered at 11:30 and 16:30 daily. On arrival, visitors are welcomed at the Ndebele Village by representatives of the tribes that dwell at the cultural village. The tour begins with a multi-sensory presentation of the origins of South Africa’s indigenous inhabitants, followed by a guided walk through the myriad tribal homesteads located in the Lesedi Cultural Village.
 
“Ingoma” (Dance) Show
 
The Cultural Tour culminates in a not-to-be-missed dance extravaganza.
Held in the Boma, ancestral folklore and rituals are brought to life in spectacular fashion. This “Ingoma”, told through choreographed movement, beating drums and song is thrilling history story-telling at its best.
 
Village Curio Shops
 
On entering the Cultural Village, visitors are presented with a visual feast of African-designed crafts and curios. All artefacts are hand-made, artisanal wonders offering visitors a delightful browsing and shopping experience.
