ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION
 
Kizimkazi is located on the South Coast of Zanzibar, Tanzania. In recent years, Kizimkazi has become a major tourist attraction. The Mkunguni beaches are some of the most beautiful beaches in Zanzibar and are only used by fishermen, thus are still very pristine.
 
Mama Root is located in Kizimkazi, a few steps from Kizimkazi Mkunguni Beach. This beachfront property offers access to free WIFI. The property is located right in front of the Indian Ocean and one minute away from the village center. The property overlooks beautiful white sands and aquamarine water. The property has six rooms with private bathrooms and a veranda with beautiful views. Conveniently close to attractions and interesting dining options.
 
Each unit is equipped with a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, while some rooms are equipped with a terrace and others also offer sea views. Additional in-room amenities include wine or champagne. For guests with children, indoor and outdoor play areas are available. The beach house has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open.
 
An on-site restaurant is available and a bar will soon be opened. Menu options change according to seasonal avalibility and fisherman’s catch of the day.
 
HOW TO REACH KIZIMKAZI
 
While Kizimkazi is tucked in the southernmost part of the island, it is approximately 60 km from the Abeid Amani International Airport or the Stone Town and takes around an hour to reach there. You can either take a private taxi or dala dala to reach Kizimkazi.

This is one of the most recommended tours in the South of Zanzibar. Guests start with a dolphin tour and then visit the Jozini Forest National Park.
